Recruitment and The New Scout Patrol

Recruitment is an essential component of any Scout Troop. Without new Scouts feeding in, the Troop cannot survive. Local Cub Packs provided an excellent source of incoming new Scouts. However, in some cases their may not be a local Cub Pack or the graduating Webelos may be few and far between.

In the past, Troop 67 has ran into similar problems. In an effort to overcome dwindling numbers from Cub Packs, we have devised several programs intended to draw kids into the Troop. They range from general letters mailed to boys that may be associated with your sponsoring organization to "Bring a Friend to Scouting Night" to a Recruitment Incentive Policy.

Feel free to take a look at some of the ideas we have come up with and adapt them to meet the needs of your local Troop.
